機械や器具を見なさい。放っておいたらそのままだ。作動させてはじめて動く。これと同じく、「体」は一日中じっとさせておいたら、そのままだ。「心」も一日中じっとさせておいたら、空（から）の心で、そのままだ。
Look at a machine or a tool. When it is left alone, it stays with nothing happening. It moves when you operate it. Likewise, if it is left?doing nothing, ‘the body’ remains still the whole day. ‘The heart’ also remains still, as an empty heart, if you leave it doing nothing the whole day.
